I got off to the park early in order to avoid the expected heat but I had some very comfortable cloud cover for most of the hike and it was actually beginning to rain by the time I got back to the car. We finally got a real thunderstorm so now we have some humidity to add to the heat that will eventually be moving in.

Most of the berries at the park are drying up before they ripen. I sure hope the u-pick farm has been getting rain.

Meanwhile the picotee amaryllis that I was hoping would bloom in February or March is putting on a fine display. It deserves a cleaner house to showcase it.
