It's too bad you can't claim some of the calories the athletes burn while watching them compete.

Anyway, Le Tour de France has begun and I'm going to follow it online again with a couple mornings up at a friend's place to watch the crucial stages on her cable tv. My favorite rider, Oscar Pereiro, has had a rough year with all the confusion about whether or not he's the 2006 winner, but I'm hoping he and his team have a good Tour.

I grilled some wonderful buffalo rib-eye steaks last night in between raindrops just before we got another line of thunderstorms and maybe an inch of rain. Lovely.

Today/tomorrow, while everything is soggy, hot and humid, I'll put the house back in some kind of order and then I should be able to take care of all the weeding and other yard & garden jobs the rest of the week before I turn my attention to berries and jam.
