I think it was two years ago when I tried the Oasis yoga-Pilates class before and only went a couple of times because I had so much pain and stiffness in the mornings. I just signed up for it again starting September 12.I'm back down to 144 this morning but obviously I'm not going to reach my CK goal by Labor Day. It's crunch time; I've got three weeks before the next freakin' full moon can throw me out of whack.

I still haven't moved through this lethargic dead-in-the-water condition and it's getting old. I look back and see that I'm still within the pattern of the previous two months but still...The heat and humidity aren't helping and now the Red Sox are down in their series with the Yankees and will be hoping to avoid a sweep this afternoon. I don't know if I'm up to listening to it this afternoon. How does a team come back from drubbing like the one the Yankees got from the Tigers on Monday...

Before I make some notes about diet, I want to commemorate the harvesting of my first eggplant of the season.My poor eggplants got off to a rocky start when they unexpectedly got nailed by slugs so now they're coming in late. I have a couple of a more usual purple variety, Nadia, that are ready to pick but I was more interested in trying my first Beatrice. The weather/humidity finally broke noticeably yesterday and I've felt my energy level improve accordingly. I'm also crediting the fact that the moon is no longer waxing gibbous.But I still don't have nearly the energy that the fawn has this morning. It's official: I still have some kind of monthly cycle. The pattern has been the same for three months: the week before the full moon I regain a pound or two. I've never noticed the timing before but now that I'm keeping such careful records the pattern is so obvious.
