Does your serum cholesterol go up when you're losing weight? If in fact, I'm 'consuming' almost 2 pounds of animal fat in a week, wouldn't that have some impact on my blood lipids?

I feel like I'm living my own version of "Sicko". I went to the doctor's office because I had some lightheadedness and I thought I should check in after 12 weeks of weight loss with another 8 to go. I assumed my blood pressure was low and thought someone could take a look at my diet and tell me if I was overdoing it.

Now I feel like I'm on a runaway train and NO ONE WANTS TO TALK ABOUT MY DIET! I had an echo-stress test yesterday for cryin' out loud and the technician messed up so now they want me to pony up for another test. I don't think so.

I finally sit down with my doctor on Monday. If he doesn't step up, I'm going to have look for someone new.

But I'm happy, happy, happy to have lots of lovely cherry tomatoes and the first of the slicing tomatoes to eat!

Don't know about the cholesterol going up when losing weight. It could be the animal fat. What I do know is that supplementing with fish oil capsules (I don't each much fish) brought mine down 30 points.
