When we moved to NY and I stopped bicycling and started gaining weight, I also stopped sewing and eventually put away all the clothes I'd made.

I can't believe that now I'm pulling out some of those clothes and looking at some of the fabrics I still have too.

I don't expect to wear much of the old size 8 stuff because I would have to lose another 3 inches in my waist to do that and then I wouldn't be able to wear the size 10 clothes I've invested in more recently. But I should be able to wear some things including the very first tailored jacket I made in a tiny houndstooth that I can't photograph well.

And I still have so much beautiful fabric. And the bumper sticker my sister-in-law, who's a great seamstress, gave me years ago: "The one who dies with the most fabric wins!"
