View MARCYINCNY1's food & exercise for this day
I'd hoped the Indians would win but never expected them to do it 3-12. It was a welcome distraction listening to the game last night and I'm still kind of dazed this morning. And what with the allergy fog it's just a damn good thing I'm not doing brain surgery on anyone today...
I posted my weigh-in at 139 even though I don't have a lot of confidence in it yet. I figured I might as well make it a banner day: the Indians clobber the Yankees and I break 140 (sort of)!
When I did my CK weigh-in this morning and reworked my profile I noticed for the first time that CK expects me to be weighing myself in "light clothing". I wonder how much 'light clothing' actually weighs; regardless, there's none included in my posted weight.
Which brings me to another issue: the accuracy of my bathroom scales. I've always known my scales weigh light. I finally remembered to weigh myself at home before I went to the doctor's office in August so now I figure my scales weigh light by about 4-5 pounds. I've reset my target weight at 134 which would put me accurately below 140 and give me a bit of ease in some of my slacks. I don't know if I'll actually do it but I think at least it will help remind me that I really can't afford to regain any weight.
The other thing I should recalculate is my exercise calories. I know I'm not burning as many calories during my hike as I did three months ago but without a heart rate monitor I don't know how to measure my effort. I've been adding some other exercise and lowering my net calories to compensate but somewhere along the line I should go back to square one.
Meanwhile I've been feeling so punk this week that I had a weak moment and bought a quart of Starbuck's Mud Pie ice cream. I had a couple of servings and then finally admitted to myself that I wasn't going to be able to leave it alone so I washed more that half of it down the kitchen sink. I realize now that I'm better off going to Biscotti Cafe and Gelateria (http://www.biscotticafe.com/) when I have a yen and having one serving rather than buy a container of ice cream and take it home.
