I was hoping to make this a good week of diet & exercise but it looks like rain all day so I won't get to the park or out on a bike. I wish I'd made a bike ride a priority yesterday. Phooey.I also wish I hadn't backed off on the dieting the past six weeks or so. Now that I've corrected my records to reflect the 8# that my old scales didn't measure I'd really like to lose that much and get below 140. I think I'm gonna need another exercise class of some sort.

We'll probably be seeing the peak of the fall color today with rain coming tomorrow. It's the time of year when I stock the larder, or more accurately, the freezer. My purveyor of grass fed meats, Wendy of Sweet Grass Farm, only has chicken for another month or so and then before winter the last beef cows, pigs and lambs go to the butcher. One of the things I tackled in the yard yesterday was the last load of dirt that was delivered for filling in over the septic tank.
