My last trip to the farmers' market before Thanksgiving one of the sellers had some beautiful bunches of bittersweet. My mother always tried to have some around the house in the fall and I knew she would be pleased to have a few branches, which she was, but I never expected to get so much pleasure from it myself.



Meanwhile I'm getting tired of watching the refrigerator fan. I found it stopped three times yesterday and the last time it took awhile to get going again. I slept half the night downstairs on a sofa to check on it every so often but we had such gale-force winds that I wouldn't have slept any better upstairs.

I'm back down to my posted low weight and I expect to at least hold it there with a fourth trip to the park tomorrow. I'm planning to get over to the Y next week and that should help be boost my exercise through the holidays when I know I'm going to be over my calorie targets on at least several occasions.
