All's quiet at the moment, the calm before the storm. The birds are chowin' down like there's no tomorrow. We got a few inches of snow last night and a few inches of sleet this morning so the trick is to figure out when to clear the decks before the winds shift and bring in the real storm.



The oats are cooking and the lamb shanks are thawing. I've already plugged in my season's first cup of Schokenig extra dark chocolate which will be my reward for shoveling the sugar-like stuff that's out there now and give me the energy to go out again this evening.
