Not having seen a lot of movies this past year I can't really say how "Sweeney Todd" and Johnny Depp compare to the other nominees but, as I posted last week, I thought the film was remarkable and Depp perfect.

I hesitate to go so far as to recommend the film to everyone however, since I did avert my eyes during the scene where Todd 'dispatches' one victim after another even though it's all very stylized. Actually the sound effects are probably more disturbing than the visuals... Just sayin'.

We have some snow this morning so at least it looks like winter again.

These next two days could go either way. Jim is going to be out of the 'office' today and tomorrow so I will be earning my keep by answering the phone. The problem is that being in the house all day I tend to 'nibble' and I really don't want to do that this week because Jim will also be out for dinner both nights and I could have two really good days of healthy, low calorie eating.

I need a project that consumes all my attention and, most important, keeps my hands busy, even better, dirty. Fortunately there are plenty of possibilities around here...
