Good News? Bad News?

Wednesday, January 30th 2008

A very nice room here at Lawnfield Inn in Mentor, Ohio, down the road from Garfield's home.

But there's an empty room at my mother's assisted living facility so I'm moving over there for the next two nights. I don't know if I'll have an internet connection.

Actually I was trying to hold it in one arm while I was closing the hatch on the van when it went flying, landing on the driveway asphalt. I held my breath waiting for a pool of wine to emerge but nothing happened. I opened t...

All Eyes on Wall Street

Seat belts fastened? I guess the only question now is exactly how bad will it be...

"The median American family is going into what looks like a recession owing more than 100 percent of its annual income."
Elizabeth Warren, Harvard law professor

I've been finding it pretty much impossible to spend much time thinking or blogging about diet & exercise in the face of the economic news.

As I see it, the "housing bubble" implosion is not just the collapse ...
