If it doesn't have a nutritional label is it 'free'?



I've been eating little pieces of this lately, a very pure chocolate, no additional cocoa butter, just a little cane sugar, so it's more like a pressed cocoa powder which would be about 100 calories/25g rather than a chocolate bar, 150-180 calories/25g. Regardless, I haven't been logging it.

Blood Oranges

I guess I should admit to myself that I'm actually maintaining my weight right now, not losing any of the last 4-5 pounds. I feel good about where I am so I think I'll just hold steady until the weather warms up and I can get out on my bikes and work in the yard & garden. I would like to get my BMI down to 22 before I turn 60 in June but I'll have time this spring and now I know how to do it.

I've come to this realization, in part because of the blood oranges.

What a Mess

We've been getting rain instead of snow so I was expecting mud when I got to the park yesterday but, no, the trails were covered with thick ice. I didn't have my YakTrax but I was able to find decent footing on the edges of the trails except for few places. On the steep decent to Round Lake I finally fell, going down hard on my butt where I used to have a nice layer of protective padding. No damage, just some stiffness between my shoulder blades from bracing myself to avoid hitting my head.

No Real Choice

It's 10:30 and I still don't know if I'm going to vote today or not. The candidates for whom I could have voted are out and I don't support either of the remaining two. I find it hard to grasp the fact that I'm even considering NOT voting but if I do vote it will be against the one, not for the other and I hate to vote that way...
