I got up about 3am to go to the bathroom and looked out the window to see mostly grass in the backyard. I got up at 7 to see everything coated in snow. It's March.

A much easier hike on Sunday and I saw a lovely hermit thrush near the upper campground.



Unfortunately I ended my hike with a nasty blister on my heel from the old Vasque boots I wear with my snowshoes. I tried to hike yesterday but I haven't been able to come up with a way to adequately protect my heel. I hope this doesn't drag out.
