One of my stops on Friday was Jo-Ann's for some buttons and elastic but as I headed to the check-out I grabbed a copy of Threads ( "for people who love to sew" ) and one of "Sew News". I think I've found a new source of motivation to lose more weight this summer. I'd like to start sewing again but only if I'm down another ten pounds and another inch at my waist.

And there are several garments I'd really like to wear again like this ivory silk gabardine suit with a bias cut skirt which I've only worn once.*



We escaped the worst of another storm with torrential rains instead of ice & snow and I'm not complaining about a few wet areas in the cellar when so many people have had flooding.

*I'm so glad my family can't post their comments. Yes, it would also be a good suit for someone, say a niece, to wear should she, at some time in the distant future, wed again.
