View MARCYINCNY1's food & exercise for this day
What's with Panera? I went to their website to print out some of the nutritional info and discovered there are big differences between their numbers and those in the CK database and not just in the size of the items. I've found discrepancies between CK and package labeling before but this includes a significant number of items with big variations. I wonder if Panera has actually made an effort to reduce calorie content along with portion size...

Frankly, I'm too lazy to double-check accuracy on CK. Most of what I find is reasonably close. And given that I don't subtract the fill-in-the-blank piece of food that fell on the floor that I didn't eat... I'm careful, but I don't want to be that obsessive. I doubt that Panera is reducing their portion sizes or calorie content to benefit us... if they're doing it at all... pity. That picture is making me DROOL.

I don't know why all the discrepancies either. It seems that about 30% of the items I pull up in CK are off from the package info when I look up pre-packaged foods. Sometimes under and sometimes over. I've been just using CK numbers unless the difference is more than 50 calories. I figure it'll all even out in the end. I hope!
