An $8.00 Loaf of Bread

Sunday, March 16th 2008

Some theorists have said the current epidemic of obesity in the U.S. is at least in part due to the abundance of cheap food. If that's true, will we soon be seeing fewer weight-related health problems? Will we all be finding it a lot easier to finally reduce our food & calorie consumption? Hum?

It's Runnin'

Saturday, March 15th 2008

The sap is running and the sugar shacks are sending up plumes of steam.

I would be delighted just to harvest a couple of each of these melons.

Sunshine this am and I'm heading to t...

Seed Orders

Wednesday, March 12th 2008

You have to believe the buds will blow,
believe in the grass in days of snow.
That's the reason a bird can sing,
on his darkest day, he believes in spring.

Douglas Malloch

I've finished my seed orders while it continues to snow.
