No setting Cold Moon this morning; it's heavily overcast and now it's raining. I may not get to the park today.
I'm still trying to assess the past week. I think I've made so many changes in my perspective regarding food & diet that I have to really concentrate to see them objectively but in thinking about how I used to do things compared to how I did things this year, the changes really are significant. I think Drs. Roisen and Oz (the RealAge docs) would be proud.

I'm pooped but not quite done. The oven is such a mess after roasting two geese that I have to do some cleaning by hand before I can set it to self-clean. I want to make goose stock today and do the first reduction before freezing it and I still have a couple of figgy puddings to make/steam.

Have the lads up ready in a line.
Ring out these bells.
Ring out, ring solstice bells.
Ring solstice bells.
Join together beneath the mistletoe.
By the holy oak whereon it grows.
Seven druids dance in seven time.
Sing the song the bells call, loudly chiming.
Ring out these bells.
Ring out, ring solstice bells.

Umm. First cup of Green Mountain Holiday Blend this season as the sun rises on this chilly morning before the solstice. I still haven't been out to the park this week but I'm heading over there as soon as it warms up a bit.
I finally have some idea of who's coming and when. Only one overnight guest who will be going back to Philly on Christmas Day so I'll do the goose on Monday and the locals can join us then or Tuesday, as they wish.
My cousin is bringing my aunt and uncle up here ...
