No setting Cold Moon this morning; it's heavily overcast and now it's raining. I may not get to the park today.I'm still trying to assess the past week. I think I've made so many changes in my perspective regarding food & diet that I have to really concentrate to see them objectively but in thinking about how I used to do things compared to how I did things this year, the changes really are significant. I'm pooped but not quite done. The oven is such a mess after roasting two geese that I have to do some cleaning by hand before I can set it to self-clean. I want to make goose stock today and do the first reduction before freezing it and I still have a couple of figgy puddings to make/steam.But the first order of business is hauling my sorry self over the park in the first sunshine we've had in several days. 1632 calories yesterday as best I can figure and all pretty much consumed after 6pm and most of the excess from fat! I don't really know about the sausage; the label on the Portuguese churico seems low at 180 for 3oz but the database lists 387 for chorizo and that's what I used. I have no idea how to figure the small piece of ricotta cake but there was no way I wasn't going to have some after smelling it's heavenly aroma since Friday evening when I pulled it out of the oven.I think I'm g...

Umm. First cup of Green Mountain Holiday Blend this season as the sun rises on this chilly morning before the solstice. I still haven't been out to the park this week but I'm heading over there as soon as it warms up a bit.I finally have some idea of who's coming and when. Only one overnight guest who will be going back to Philly on Christmas Day so I'll do the goose on Monday and the locals can join us then or Tuesday, as they wish.
