Eight adults, two pumpkin pies, one homemade mincemeat pie, a large apple cake and one store-bought apple pie. And it all sat out on a kitchen counter for three days, begging people to have at it. They might as well have put a loaded gun along side it all.
The main meal consisted of a delicious turkey roasted with lots of fresh rosemary slipped under the skin, and various starches including dressing, mashed potatoes, candied yams and some rolls. There was gravy, cranberry-orange 'mush', ...

Lake effect snow wherever we go. We're in Ohio but we've got several inches of lake effect snow this morning just as we would have had back in Syracuse.
I've had access to a computer but the schedule and the menus have been so catch-as-catch-can that I haven't even tried to log. I did bring some Fiber One and lowfat cottage cheese so I'm not too far off track and I haven't over indulged in anything other than wine which is alway necessary when spending more than a few hours with the in-la...

We had lake effect snow off and on all day yesterday but not much accumulation until last night.
It was nice to leave the symphony concert, concluded by a wonderful rendition of Respighi's "Pines of Rome", and climb on one of the buses that take concert goers from and to the covered garage at a nearby shopping center.
This morning we have several inches and the house is full of reflected light even though the sky is still overcast.

It's just a narrow band on the radar but it's accumulating quickly. At first I thought, "I wish I'd already joined the Y and could just run over there for my exercise," but now I'm eager to get over to the park before it turns to rain.
