One of my stops on Friday was Jo-Ann's for some buttons and elastic but as I headed to the check-out I grabbed a copy of
Threads ( "for people who love to sew" ) and one of "Sew News". I think I've found a new source of motivation to lose more weight this summer. I'd like to start sewing again but only if I'm down another ten pounds and another inch at my waist.

When we moved to NY almost twenty years ago, I stopped bicycling for a variety of reasons and because I didn't change my diet accordingly, I started gaining weight. I also stopped sewing and eventually put away all the clothes I'd made.
I can't believe that now I'm pulling out some of those clothes and looking at some of the fabric I still have.
I don't expect to wear all of the old size 8 (smaller than off-the-rack size 8) stuff because I would have to lose another 3 inches in my wai...
