View MARCYINCNY2's food & exercise for this day
I decided to purchase a year's membership rather than go month-by-month. I figured if I was going to be here at least through the winter and spring I'd be paying as much as the full year.
One more thing that sabotaged me after my first year at CK was my expectation, an unrealistic one as it turns out, that my weight loss success was going to inspire others to get in shape and thereby reinforce my own effort.
It has been a huge disappointment that no one else has tried to improve their health and fitness. For one, my husband is as I was when I started CK 40lbs. overweight but he has many more reasons to lose it. Hes been taking medication for high cholesterol for over ten years and recently started another med for high blood pressure. His most obvious risk factor is the weight he carries in his midsection; his waist measurement is more than 40 inches. He still does a lot of bike riding and he works Ski Patrol in the winter but that, of course, is a questionable 'weekend warrior' way to maintain some level of fitness.
I guess when I get myself back on track Ill have to find a less subtle approach to try to get him to lose some weight. He may be getting a treadmill for Christmas...
The point is that when I regained the first few pounds it was too easy to tell myself that no one else cared, why should I? No more of that. I need contact with some like-minded people and I know where to find it!
