Thursday, Nov 5 2009 - The Hunter's Moon aka The Beaver Moon
View MARCYINCNY2's food & exercise for this day
Whatever you chose to call this full moon it's been absolutely spectacular the past few nights. It's still impressive this frosty morning.
I spent several hours at the park yesterday even though it was chilly and we never got the sunshine that was forecast. I'd had a nasty sinus headache off and on for a couple of days and I knew if I stayed around the house I wouldn't get much done. My hike didn't start off well when I saw that someone had knocked down all the stone cairns again (why, why, why?) but then as I was finishing a loop up on Farmers Hill I heard a bluebird. A hiking friend had mentioned recently that she had seen a "ton" of bluebirds on the hill but I hadn't until yesterday. I've never seen so many up there; there was actually a small flock of them!
Today the sinus problem seems to be abating so I don't have any excuse not to tackle some of the dust that's collected around here. Being indoors all day it will be a bit of challenge not to nibble but I'm going to crank up the latest Jesse Cook album and some Salsa Celtica and try to keep moving...

Oooh I love Jesse Cook. Are you sure we're not related? Glad the sinus headache is better; I had one too. It must be going around. Gorgeous picture! You always have great pictures.

isn't the moon just *amazing* these days? (sigh) i find not eating when I am home for the day to be a challenge too. I can just cave to my hunger. Good for you for staying busy and out of the cupboards.

Hi there,
:rock1:
So glad you worked your way around to where you could find the posts. The INBOX doesn't appear on your Diary page, so you have to go to Today, or a blogging or forum page to see that you have something in your inbox.
However, did I invite you to our group that I started? I can't remember. As YOU were one of the ones that spurred me on to beginning a group, Our age - and weight control issues were the other factors. You find us under Groups - "Over 60 and Grabbing the Gusto". I think the title covers it. As people often say that in my blogs that I tend to be encouraging, I thought that a group especially for us would motivate ME and others to keep reaching out for the best in life. Therefore, I started it. PLEASE join us - we are fledgling and like the birds that you watch, we need support. Hope to see your application soon.
LOVE the moon the last few nights - we live in lower BC, Canada and have had very crisp starting to freeze evenings. Hugz Kel
