View MARCYINCNY2's food & exercise for this day

My plan for the next two weeks–in the hope that I can still get below 150 before Thanksgiving–is to average 350 exercise calories/day and to eat no more than 1200 calories/day.

I’m relieved to find that I won’t have to do any creative bookkeeping to satisfy CK. It turns out one of the many odd quirks in the program is that you can set a custom exercise at 0 calories! I can now log my exercise without affecting my calorie count.

It’s always annoyed me that the CK Manager software doesn’t give me a tally for calories eaten so that I have to check my exercise calories and then add them back or subtract them from the calories it says I have left or go to the daily summary page. Now I can at least work around that more easily.

While I’m complaining I’d like to mention another annoyance I find in the interface or lack of between the software and online diaries. When I upload my diary all my snacks are listed as early morning snacks; since I prefer my wine and cheese or whatever before dinner and list it as my afternoon snack it looks I’m starting off the day with a stiff one...

Another thing I noticed in going back over my diary of two years ago is that I was eating yogurt. I'm not sure why but I haven't been eating it lately so I'm going back to yogurt and some of it will be Stonyfield's great pumpkin pie yogurt which is available for the next few weeks.

A true Indian summer day here and another happy chance for a bike ride. It almost makes up for not having lost any weight last week.

Marcie. I remember you from once upon a time. When I first started, at CK. And what I remember about you was your keen visual eye, and your ABSOLUTELY beautiful photos of flora.

You are complaining a lot in this blog, and well you should be. So go for it.

I'm glad you have returned.

Best,
Cheryl52

P.S. Although, I sometimes I think I'm missing something from you.

Hi there, Really worried about you not losing last week and doing so much exercise. That is one thing that I did for a long time. That is: eat less and not lose weight. The program has mentioned over and over again if you exercise 300 cal - you have to make sure your Calorie Target is correct. Since I have carefully kept the calorie target within the suggest amount, the weight goes off. If I don't eat the recommended amount, I don't lose.

Then one of the girls was doing what you are saying you are - and had lost an incredible amount. She went on vacation for 17 day and quit exercising outside of walking, etc and in that 17 days GAINED back 30 - yes, 30 pounds. So when I was gone for my 33 days last month - I was careful AND exercised moderately but didn't UNDEREAT. I am sure that was what was at fault all those years.

Hope this all makes sense. Hope to see your comments in the Group - new thread this week. Have a good day - Kel :rock1:
