I'm thankful to be home. I will be thankful next year if I don't have to spend Thanksgiving in Ohio. It's entirely possible that my sister-in-law, who has gained even more weight during the past year, will not be healthy enough to host a family gathering.

1 medically obese, 2 with BMIs at least 29, 2 overweight, 2 with BMIs below 25.

I'm pretty much in a panic. I've probably left too many things to do today before we leave tomorrow. This morning I'm doing my stint at the Food Bank to make up for not working Thursday, then I'll do a short loop at the park before I come home to stuff the pumpkin, bake the cookies and pack. I know it's not much compared to what others have to do or even what I used to do but nowadays it seems like more than enough.

What could be better than losing weight myself? I would absolutely be happier to see The Mister lose weight.The Mister is joining the downtown YMCA! He hasn't actually signed up yet but he's told enough people that he can't back out now. He's been talking about doing something like this for twenty years. I'm also mighty glad I didn't buy him a treadmill last week.

I spoke to my mother yesterday and in discussing what I was bringing next week, she asked if I could make some molasses crisps. I simply don't bake when I'm in my take-no-prisoners weight loss mode so this will be a real challenge. I was holding my breath this morning when I got on the scales. I'm back down to last week's low but I won't be able to relax until I have a nice safety margin.I had a camera with me when I went to the park on Sunday and I took pictures of the new cairns. I'm glad I did because between then and yesterday afternoon when I was there again, someone had knocked down all but this one. I guess some people build things and some only destroy whatever they can.
