I can honestly say I've never truly wanted to lose weight for any reason other than pure vanity. That is until now. Five days ago I pulled out my back/ hip so badly that I looked physically deformed. It totally freaked me out. At this point I need to lose the weight for my physical well being... not just to fit into designer jeans. I feel like I've had what everyone who is succesful here says is my "aha!" moment. My husband is super supportive and tip toed around the idea that losing weight would probably be the best thing I could do for my back, and I actually appreciated it. Normally I would have been like, "How dare you! Don't even mention my weight, etc, etc."
I haven't weighed in in forever so my stats are way off. I will start getting back on track in the morning and will weigh in on Tuesday.

You're right, everyone has that moment. It is the difference between thinking 'I really should lose weight' and actually DOING it. Just remember it happens one decision at a time.
