MERCYME's CalorieKing blog

Thursday, Sep 20 2007 - Thursday....TGI (Almost) Friday

View MERCYME's food & exercise for this day

It's Thursday evening, about 4:44 p.m. I'm getting hungry for my evening meal. I've been famished lately. I think it's psychological. Ever since I re-did my personal profile, it dropped my daily calorie intake to 1,200. So how does ANYBODY survive on 1,200 calories? I certainly can't. So, I'm making sure I get in a good work out every day, so I can net 1,200 calories comfortably. I'm hungry tho., so I need to make some more adjustments. I think some more fiber (fruits and veggy's) would be a good place to start. I craved some blueberries after my cardio run this afternoon....had a cup of them with some no-fat cottage cheese. It was tasty.

Tomorrow is weigh-in day. Ugh, I'll just be so disappointed if I don't lose a pound. I feel like I've been working hard, but know that I will hit some plateaus along the way. Just gotta stay the course, yes?!

This weekend my husband and I are going to get away for a couple of days for a belated anniversary celebration. I'm looking forward to it. It sounds like the weather is going to cooperate too :tongue10: I'm going to try to log all of my eating over the weekend, to see how good my decision making is while on "vacation".

Have a good evening all.... :hi:

I have been following Dr. Dean Ornish's "East More, Weight Less" book and I often have trouble hitting 1000 cals a day.
The trick has been, NO meat, VERY little oil or butter. EVEN OLIVE OIL. Many say "but its a good fat." Maybe for your heart, but it will still pack on the pounds.

I have always been a SERIOUS carnivor. I loved wings and burgers. But this veggie diet is great. And filling! The trick is grains, and beans, plus fruits and veggies.

Check out my diary to see what I actually eat.

Good luck and stay strong
