Thursday, Aug 26 2010 - Should I have it?
View MIDDLEROAD's food & exercise for this day
Was in a rush this morning. Didn't get all the things I needed. Ended up getting a bagel from my favorite bagel place and that was okay because the rest of the day I had low calorie foods: fruit, cottage cheese, lettuce w/o dressing... But I bought some cooked bratwurst for dinner when I was at the store. After I bought it, I looked at the label and WOW. 290 calories for 1 and 270 of those calories are from fat! Do I really want to have that???? I think not.... I will feed them to my husband and have something else. I have a cooked chicken breast in the fridge. Maybe I'll have that with some broccoli and maybe a potato.
Note to self: Don't buy bratwurst!!!!!! (Some lo fat turkey sausage would be a good substitute.)

Low fat turkey sausage is better... also you might wanna check *brace yourself* out the veggie brats. They are actually pretty good lot less fat.

Try Aidelles (not sure I spelled that right). They have a great selection of turkey and chicken "sausage" that is lower fat, but you still have to watch it on the sodium (yowza!).
I think your bagel was easily the better choice compared to my pink sugar cookie (what the heck was I thinking???)

Don't you hate you read the lable after you buy something. I have done that a few times. Good move on giving it to the hubby.
