View MIDDLEROAD's food & exercise for this day
I've been in mental pain for the last 2 weeks and now am in physical pain. It actually feels better than the mental pain. I got to the gym on Monday night and didn't have my gym shoes. I got all dressed and ready to exercise and then discovered they weren't in my bag. LOL. I never take them out of my bag...except last weekend. I decided to use them on a walk because my other gym shoes need replacing. So, I couldn't really go on any machines, although I suppose I could have done the weight machines. But anyway, I went in the pool instead. I love the pool. I took a water aerobics class once and it really showed me some good ways of exercising in the pool. So, I ran in the pool. Then I swam laps also. It was great. I got a great workout! But when I got home I discovered that I had ripped up the bottom of my feet from the pool. It hurt like h*ll and is still hurting.
Then last night I went for a nice bike ride with my hubby. We rode over to my daughters to bring her some garden veggies. When we got there, and I tried to stop, my sweatshirt sleeve got caught on the handle of my bicycle and I couldn't get off and ending up falling. Luckily it was on the grass and I didn't have far to fall, but I am sore today! For some reason, I have trouble getting off my bike. It should be easy, because I have an electra townie and it is very low. But for some reason I struggle with that and I also feel a little unsure of myself riding. Like my balance isn't what it used to be, or maybe I am so fat it throws off my balance. I don't know, but I still am enjoying riding. It has been nice to discover some active things that i actually like to do. I have rediscovered my love of the pool and bike riding. YEAH!

It's nice to know that I am not the only one with bike issues. I have a panic attack if anyone comes close to me as well as having stopping issues, maybe it is a balance problem?
