View MIDDLEROAD's food & exercise for this day

I biked 5 miles last night for about 40 minutes. My butt was sore and I was kind of tired and sweaty. Hubby and I are going to go camping in WI in 2 weeks and bringing our bikes, our dog and a dog trailer. We are going to ride on the old train route. I think we are nuts. I don't know how far I can go but I think we are biting off more than we can chew! It is a lot of stuff to haul. Well see.................

Anyway, I enjoyed the ride. It was pretty quiet out, not too many cars and I had my new head and tail lights on my bike so people can see me. I just went around and around on circle ave which guess what? It goes in a circle! It is 1 mile around. So it is great for an exercise track. No stopping and starting like if you are actually riding to some place and crossing major streets and stuff.

Oh, it's hard to stick to the right # of calories. I went overboard on bread and olive oil last night. Not as bad as I could have been, but too much. Today I had starbucks mocha and starbucks reduced fat cinnamon swirl coffee cake. How can coffee be so many calories? and how can a reduced fat food be so many calories also? Luckily, I made soup last night for tonight and it is hardly any calories at all. I made cream of mushroom soup using fresh mushrooms, carrots, onions a couple of potatoes, lo fat mil and fat free chicken broth. It was real tasty last night when I made it and I am looking forward to it. Nix the side of bread, I think. Maybe a nice tasty apple. Hey, I did find that an Taffy apple was only 120 calories. Not bad for a treat.
