Wow! Had a great weekend without too much food and drink! LOL. Went to a comedy fest Friday night after the gym. Had a great workout Fri. I've been pushing it on the elliptical and am actually running pretty well on that. I was able to run for about 2 minutes at a level of 6. It doesn't seem to translate to the treadmill, or running outside, but that's okay. I am moving well. Took the dog for a walk/run on Sat. My dog is a lab and she likes to trot from spot to spot, so I ran when she ran and stopped when she stopped and I did pretty well. Was able to keep up with her. Then took care of Mom then rest of Sat. Took her for a nice walk in the afternoon with the wheelchair and dog. Didn't run then!

Sunday hubby and I went for a long bike ride. We trail the dog in a dog trailer, but hubby pulls it on his bike. It makes up for the difference in our weight!!!! LOLO. We are doing the bike trail through CC forest preserve a piece at a time. Yesterday we rode from Oakton to Old Orchard. Not sure how many miles, but maybe 4 each way? Then carved pumpkins with my hubby and girls. Then to top that off, my daughter S called from St. Louis. She has been very negligent calling me and I call her and leave her messages and stuff and she never responds. The last message I left her I said maybe we should have a specific calling time, like every Sunday. That's what hubby used to do with his parents. So lo and behold she called me Sunday. That was very nice! I really want to hear her stories about whats going on in her life and stories about my grandson. I haven't seen them since Aug and it's killing me but she's so busy that I don't think she wants me to come down. She has visitors all the time with so much family and she is trying to study for CPA exam too! I wish she would invite me to come.

I got talked into buying tickets for the Lyric Opera. They call every year and try to get me to buy a series. But it is too expensive. I buy 2 tickets now and then for seats way up in the upper balcony when there is something I really want to see. It's hard to get tickets for the popular ones. But they called a second time this year with a really great deal for seats in the 1st balcony for 3 operas and I was able to get one of the popular ones, "Carmen". I have been spending too much money lately, so I feel a little guilty, but the shows are in February and March, a time of year that is so depressing and it will be good to have something to look forward to. I usually take one of my daughters and it is a fun outing. My hubby won't go and it would be a waste of a ticket on him anyway. He would just fall asleep.

I also spent money on getting my teeth whitened through the dentist. He had a 1/2 price sale and I have been wanting to do that for a while. My teeth aren't gross, but as you get older they do get stained and darker. I have been bleaching for 5 days now and they look fantastic already!

Anyway, that's what my job is for. To have a little spending money. If I have to suffer the stress, I might as well enjoy the profits a little.

So all this fantastic stuff and I have fallen flat on my calorie counting. I have been trying to be careful and limit myself, but I have been tracking it and when you don't track it you don't lose. I don't know what the weigh in will bring today but I am fitting into clothes I haven't fit in for a while. Even my old favorite exercise pants that were to tight to get into! That makes me feel good.

The last two weeks, I wrote that I was going to get back on track, but I haven't. I like to track at work, and it has been busy. Last week I was off Mon and Tues and I thought when I got back that I would have an easy week and have time to track at work. But alas that was not to be. Someone was out sick two days and then needed a lot of help when they were back also. Sigh. I had also set a goal to go to my computer at home every night at 9 and haven't been doing that. I've been so busy...... No excuses! This is the week!!!!!!
