I surprise myself that I am able to lose weight on a continuous basis and even weather the ups and downs without throwing the whole thing out. I can see that this is an ongoing process and not a contest or law to abide by, but just something I keep working at. This is a new perspective for me because I used to always say "I have to do this" or "I have to eat that" and then beat myself up when I didn't do it. Now, I make a mistake and I just try to go on and be better the next time. It is a little bit smoother road than the all or nothing approach. It feels more comfortable and makes me enjoy the process a little bit more.
I lost 1.5 pounds this week and though it's not groundbreaking, it is a step in the right direction. I think CK has really helped me in that it doesn't hold a big stick over my head. It is encouraging and hopeful. It helps me be gentle with myself. Thanks, CK. (WW always seemed like I was in school and had to make the grade, if you know what I mean.)
