View MIDDLEROAD's food & exercise for this day

Well I have been missing in action. My work has been extremely crazy and busy and that is usually where I do my blogging and journalling. So, I haven't been blogging, you can bet I haven't been journalling.

My free time seems to be taken up by mostly the gym and then in the evening my hubby. However, I have also been taking time out to read. I had several books from the library that I really wanted to get finished. One is a gardening book that I have been trying to get for a long time and finally came in. I was so excited.

Then, I was also busy ordering seeds and stuff for my garden. I think I am mostly going to do corn this year in my home garden. I also will do pole beans and I am hoping to grow them on the corn. Then I am going to tuck in a melon plant in one corner, some lettuce and carrots in another. I already have garlic planted that I put in in the fall. I started some greek oregano last year, but it looks like its all dead. Maybe it will come back, but I hope to put in a couple of herbs also. Oh yeah, I also will do 2 tomato plants and 1 green pepper. I also ordered some sweet peas, but I haven't had success with them in the past. I thought I would throw them out there early and see if I get anything.

I also have a plot at the Norwood Park Historical Society that they let me plant in. I am going to do potatoes, onions and beets over there. For some reason, I love growing onions. I grow storage onions and keep them all winter. I don't have to buy any, although were down to the bottom of them by this time of year. They are very strong, so you don't have to use too much to flavor things.

I also ordered some strawberry plants to put in my flower garden. I never had luck with strawberries, but I thought I might try them there.

So, this is what I've been doing instead of tracking my calories. I ate bad last week but was good on the weekend and am off to a good start now.
