View MIDDLEROAD's food & exercise for this day
Did great yesterday! Ate a doughnut this A.M. Yes, I went out and bought it. I sometimes run out for coffee at Dunkin Doughnuts at morning break. I dont usually buy a doughnut, but I was real stressed today and really hungry already, even though I had eaten healthy foods. It is totally gloomy here and has been for days. The forecast is not looking good for the rest of the week. Had to drag myself out of bed today in the dark and was very pokey getting going.
Work has been very stressful and thought itd be better today, but first thing when I came in there was a problem. Geeeeeeeeezzzzzzzz.
Did a great exercise yesterday. I really looked forward to it after the w/e. I have w/es off from exercise and I miss it. Truly. Exercise is really getting into my very core of my being and I want to be active more and more.
I have FB trainer tonight. Ugh. Hes not very inspiring. I need someone thats so into it that they talk about it while they train and not just go through a routine. I want someone thats going to tell me about the muscles and the machines and routines and new thoughts on eating healthy. He just follows his routine and thats it. I know hes being overworked, but, hey!, I am paying for it, and I should enjoy it. I should be getting out of it what I need. What helps me. At first he was more explanatory, but then
I think he might be a newbie. Like most young trainers, he wants to train athletes. Like that is going to happen! Sorry young man, youre going to be stuck training fat old ladies the rest of your life! You might as well learn to like it.
Last week he tried to talk me into a $200 heart rate monitor. Its like having your own trainer every time you exercise, he said. Well, what do I have you for then????? I already bought a monitor from him in December. Now I should get another one? He wants me to give mine to my husband. My husband is an old man and couldnt care less about having a heart rate monitor! Thats the thing with the trainers at my gym. They are always trying to sell you things. Thats the way the gym wants it I guess. Just forget selling me stuff and explain what I want to know!!!! You pay all this money for a trainer and all they do is follow some routine that they made up in their head and use for all their clients. How personal is that????
Sorry to go on, but boy it feels good to let it off my chest
and believe me, theres more I could say

If you really don't like him that much, you could ask to try another trainer. But, you made it sound like all the trainers at your gym try to sell you things too. They don't do that at my gym. If you ever want, I can get you a free guest pass at my gym and you could try a session with my trainer! He is also a young man, though, but he will tell me about muscles we are working and about diet, ect, if I have questions.

My HRM was just around $100, and I don't use half of the stuff on it
:) You don't need fancy!
Oh Dunkin donut, I went for a coffee this afternoon and the chocolate Boston cream was screaming for me. But I put my fingers in my ears and said la la la la... ha ha... I know how tough it can be to pass up those treats.
I hope work calms down for you!

My HRM only cost me 89 bux... I love it. It works well for me, but I know it's not for everyone. Since I was eating back my excercise calories, I wanted to be certian of my real calorie burn. The treadmill says I burned 600 calories but my heart rate (more accurate) says I burned 290.
I HATE when there is a trainer like that!!! I used to have one that just made me go through a routine and stood there. BS!!! My new one is great, he talks to me about nutrition and how to do some stuff at home for a workout! He talks to me about incidental excersize AND he pushes me a little more everytime I see him! I LOVE that! Sounds like you need a totalyl different trainer, what a butt!
