View MIDDLEROAD's food & exercise for this day

Had good exercise last night. I really like exercising in front of the mirror, but the mirrors at my gym are all in the back in the “men’s” heavy lifting area. I went back there anyway and used what I think is called the “Smith” machine. I used it for other purposes, like assisted squats, push-ups, reverse lunges, and well, I did lift the weights, too. Hehe. I like that my trainer shows me how to do similar moves using different equipment and things. I had a 2lb gain, but I forgive myself. Yes, I have been off, but I have good reasons (or excuses). Here they are: One, is that I was really sick last week with some intestinal problem and then I was starving and eating anything. Two, I was out of town and it was hard to eat properly and I felt kind of out of my element. Three, I was one the road and just grabbed stuff to eat. Four, the weather has been crappy and I felt depressed. I can make good choices when I am in a good frame of mind and I will continue to work on it. I am feeling good today, the sun is shining for the 2nd day in a row. I feel somewhat relaxed. It’s going to be a good day.

Still working on writing down 10 things I am grateful for every day. Today it was hard to find 10 things, but I did it.

I work on the Smith machine as well! You will do great and I am glad you are not beating yourself up.

I use the smith machine all the time.
I put it on the lower notches to do push-ups - I am working on the bottom notch and using a bench - OUCH :)
And then I will put it on say the 3rd notch from the bottom and then grab on for dear life and do pull ups... Not sure how to explain it but I call it the upside down push-up lol...
