View MIDDLEROAD's food & exercise for this day
I am finally getting back to my exercise and things. I had a great workout with my trainer last night. Hes working on my legs in hopes of getting me running. I want to run like all of you on CK do. I am old, though, and maybe can only get to jogging
.. LOL. Thats okay. I just want to be able to do a 5K in October, however I can. Its called Running in Circles and is on a street that goes in a circle. They have a walking part, but last time I did that, I was the last one in. They practically cleared out by the time I got done. I think some people just did one lap.
I am trying to concentrate on the exercise portion a little bit more, though, because I dont think my workouts have been right for me. I was really pushing it, to get my heart rate way up and burn a lot of calories, but I think I need to exercise more at a rate where I can still talk. I dont know. I got a book by Sally Edwards called Fit and Fat and she explains the whole heart rate thing. So maybe Ill learn something from that. My trainer says the polar heart rate monitor changes the heart rate level at which you burn fat as you exercise
. I just dont get it and I want to know more.
I finally have been getting on my bike, too and I love it. 
Unfortunately, my food intake hasnt been too good. Ive been eating bad foods. Hot dogs, fries, candy bars, chips, BLTs. I have had some salads and good days too
I hope that by next week I can get back on a healthy eating track as well as the exercise.

u & me both lady, i haven't been exercising & i have not been eating well at all!! time for me to re-commit 2 me!! as long as we keep on keeping on it's all just a matter of time!! i wd love to run also one day as my boyfriend who's lost over 150 lbs in the last couple yrs is up to 6 miles in 58 min!! i envy him but he is also 16 yrs younger than i!! dam it!! lol!! but i'm with u even a good jog wd b amazing!!! something for us to work towards!! have a gr8 wk lady!! xoxoxo

You are not too old to start running/jogging. Start walking and working with your trainner. There are plenty of examples of people on here who had never taken to running before. Give yourself time, keep moving and things will come together.

Oh, that is so sad............................ I'm down in the dumps today. I had a great exercise on Wed, and was flying high and feeling great but then Thurs just went to hell at work and everywhere else. And I was back in pain from the exercise, I think. Why? I had to go to Physical therapy, and the dentist, Grandma was put on hospice and my Dad is all teary. I saw her and it just breaks my heart to see her in such bad shape. I wish I had magic powers to bring her back........and then we saw, "UP" the movie and that is sad too....... Plus people have been mean to me.........

You can do it! I've been struggling to get back on track after this weekend. I had pizza, beer, chips, pancakes, ect. And then of course I couldn't get back completely for Monday & Tuesday. But finally I can say I was really good today! I gained back the 2lbs I lost the week before
