Today really wasn't so bad. I ended up 37 calories over my given amount. There's that saying "Fail to plan and plan to fail." Well, today was a really good example.
I had plans to go to a friend's house tonight. Instead of spending a few minutes at home with a dinner that would have been much better for me, I ended up stopping at one of those fast food places. My downfall. On the upside, I used to get a large everything - tonight was only a medium. I guess it's a start, right?
I noticed today how I used to automatically go for the food around the office. I wouldn't necessary want it - it was just there. And it would end up in my mouth. Twice today, I also grabbed for something. The good news? I always realized what I was doing. It makes me think about how many empty calories I've eaten over the years. Wow.
One thing that has been going right. One of my goals has been to not eat after 8:30. So far, I've held true to that. I know it's only been a few days, but I have to keep remembering that I can do it. And these little "pats on the back" just might help to get me through.
