View MIPACKERFAN's food & exercise for this day
I've kind of been MIA on my blog recently. I've been having some inter-turmoil that i've been trying to deal with, tho I'm not sure I've succeeded.
I had major food blow ups two days straight. Five green checkmarks, except for those two days. I had written previously that I didn't think I was an emotional eater..boy, did I prove myself wrong. The first day with the blow up, my food day hadn't been doing too badly. Then I had my meeting with my therapist, and my day went to hell in a handbasket. McDonalds. Large everything. Oh, and throw a hot fudge sundae on top, please. I was nearly 1,700 calories over. It was a really good session with my therapist, but it also put me in a funk for the next day. There was no "It's a brand new day!" the next morning. Rather, just a bad continuation.
One of the realizations I had was that those couple of bad days were usually the catalyst for my giving up in the past. In my original blog, I had said something like "if I fall off the wagon, or push myself out of the car..." It felt like I was pushing myself out of the car. Quitting. Not caring. I think this was the first time that I really realized that.
So yesterday I went shopping. I had been looking for clothes, and got discouraged when I was having no luck. Here's my rant - just because a girl is overweight does NOT mean all of her weight is in her boobs! There were a few shirts I tried on that made me feel like I was 12, before I had a chest. When are the designers going to figure out that not everyone has the chest!!??!
At any rate, I found a cute work out outfit that can work with me as I continue my journey of slimming down - and it was on sale.
I also realized that last week I strayed from my plan - grocery shop and bake food for the week over the weekend. I ended up going out for lunch a couple of days. So last night I put the ingredients for a vegetable barley soup in the crock pot and let it cook over night. I hadn't made it before, so I tasted it when I got up this morning - it was good! There's very little protein in it (I'm not a huge bean person), so I'll have to enjoy a sandwich or something with it. The recipe came from the Weight Watchers Complete Cookbook (I LOVE this cookbook!), but I modified it some.
Well, I think it's time for breakfast. Thanks for listening. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
