View MIPACKERFAN's food & exercise for this day
I'm back! I've taken a bit of a hiatus, but now I'm back.
I admit I let the stress get to me. I couldn't handle tax season, my freelance job, and watching my food. So guess which one got the back burner? I guess in the future I'm going to have to create a three-front-burner type of device.
The good news is I didn't lose it completely. I periodically checked myself on the scale, and I tended to bounce between three pounds. Considering what I was eating and how often, I'm pretty pleased with where I am right now. The upside to tax season is that in my normal duties, I'm sitting at my desk all day. For the last three weeks, I've been on my feet for nearly all of it. Hence why I believe the couple of trips to DQ didn't show up on the scale as they maybe should have.
So I'm back at it. I haven't worked out my plan yet, but that's on my agenda for today. I have the day off (from work) and got started out right. My dog was happy, too, as I got us up and headed out the door for a good 40 minute walk. I'm not real fast and only went 1.9 miles, but it felt good. And toward the end I was at a pretty good pace for me. There was even sweat. Yeah!
Yesterday I had a really tough conversation with a good friend of mine; I asked her what makes her happy. And it started me thinking about what really makes me happy. What are the things I can do that make me feel good. I think that it going to be a focus for me this week - start listing things that make me happy - and do them!
I'm off to finish my water, make myself a berry smoothie for breakfast, and go shopping. Shopping while everyone else is at work. I LOVE IT!!

And it's beautiful out. The clouds have gone away, and now it's just blue sky with a lot of sun. I am SO glad winter is finally behind us!!
Have a great day!!

Welcome back! And what better way to celebrate happiness within than to go shopping

I think you are on to something, definitely loving ourselves and doing things that make us happy are worth while efforts. Too many times I think humans in general spend less time on themselves than others (work, households, yards, meaningless task). Nothing wrong with doing something for yourself!
I too am a tax preparer..thank goodness this season is over!
