View MIPACKERFAN's food & exercise for this day
Morning!
My full-fledged "I'm back!!" attack hasn't quite worked out how I'd like it to, but I'm getting there. I had a tough time while I was still on vacation - it was too easy to plop down after shopping and munch on something while watching TV. The TV...I think that's the worst part of me. If I could limit myself to how much I watch, I might make things on myself easier. I sound like a broken record.
The bad part is at night while I'm watching. I need to snack on something. And when I tell you I have no snacks in the house, I mean none. Not a cracker, chip, marshmallow...nothing. I end up eating cookie dough, which is just horribly bad.
On the upside, I started out the week on a really good note with my exercise. I took the dog for a walk both Monday and Tuesday morning, which I know she also enjoyed. I've learned this before, but it's amazing when I walk. No matter what stresses are out there, they all melt away when I walk. For whatever reason, I don't think about work, my family, bills. I just put on my iPod and start walking. It's refreshing. So why don't I make myself walk more? It isn't as tho I don't have the time (hence, quit watching the idiot box). I have an appointment after work tonight, so I will try to get a walk in when I get home - depends on how dark it is.
I'm off to the grind. Yeah!
Have a great day!!
Sidenote: I was just about to hit save when I heard my dog barking horribly - she never barks, ever. When I got to the backdoor, I found her in a stand-off with a cat that had come into the yard, on our side of the gate. Teeth were showing, hair standing on end. Neither was hurt, but what a weird sight!!

You should be incredibly proud of yourself!! You'll get back into the swing of it, you sound motivated. When I am wanting to snack while watching TV, I eat baby carrots, or I cut up some strawberries into tiny pieces. I know that sounds wierd but I think its the hand going to the mouth thing that I want more than the actual snack so why not make it healthy? Well, good luck with getting back on track.

Small steps will get you further...just remember if you make a change each day or month in time all your changes will pay off. I'm a snack monster...my suggestion- fruit, veggies, vanilla covered raisins (YUM-O), or if it must be salty or junky...rice krispi treats are only 90 cals per bar!!! Make a goal of yours to only watch tv after you've walked...that way you know for sure you've done your excercising. And you already have proof that by walking you are releasing your stresses, then maybe if you sit in front of the tv after you wont be so eager to eat snacks to avoid stresses.
just a thought. have a good day
