View MORTINI's food & exercise for this day
My week off seems to be going by too quickly. It's another week where I seemingly haven't done much of anything tangible, but this week I was getting some packages, so that added some stress for me. I like staying up late too much, so I end up kind of reversing my schedule, but because of the packages, I have to be awake by ~10am for the delivery. So, going to bed at 3-4 AM and getting up at 10 AM kind of wears on me. Tomorrow, I'm heading up to my parents, so I'll have some time here in the morning, then head over to take the bus up.
I got a walk in today, though, and that was good. Not the quickest ever, but not too bad, either. I generally end up doing the 3.5 mi around the park in 55 minutes, which is what I did today. When I'm really motivated, I can do it about 10 minutes less, but today I was listening to my audiobook and just going.
I got some spices from 'the spice house' (google that, it's the first hit). I got their 'cajun' blend. I've made blackened chicken with it twice now. Well - tonight it was blackened turkey breast because I grabbed that instead of chicken. But, it's very tasty. I also got some smoked paprika and some Chipolte that both have an amazing smoked smell to them. Today, I put the powdered chipolte in with my tuna sandwich - it was really quite tasty. I included some sweet pickles cut up, so the contrast between the spicy smokey and sweet was kind of nice. On Friday, I'll be at my parents, and I'm going to make this 'hungarian pot roast' recipe from Kalyn's Kitchen (http://kalynskitchen.blogspot.com/2008/12/crockpot-recipe-for-hungarian-pot-roast.html), so hopefully the paprika will be nice in that dish.
I'm progressing on the p90 series. It's amusing but frustrating that on the cardio workouts I can be anywhere from ~300 to ~500 calories for the 40 minute workout. Obviously, the higher calorie nights I'm more into it than the lower nights. Tonight is weights night and I'm going to move up on weights on everything again.
