In a cavern, in a canyon,
Excavating for a mine
Dwelt a miner forty niner,
And his darling Clementine.

Oh my darling, oh my darling,
Oh my darling, Clementine!
Thou art lost and gone forever
Dreadful sorry, Clementine

I got a box of clementines on Sunday. They're pretty awesome. They have a really great flavor. I've said it before, but one of the things that I like about buying groceries how I do is that I end up buying things that I *never* would have bought on my own. Actually, I don't even think my grocery store has clemntines - probably takes up too much space and not enough people buy them to make it wortwhile.

One thing that I do find pretty odd, though, is the celery. I use a stalk a day in my tuna sandwich lately - so, I end up wasting about 1/2 of it, but, well. If I buy celery from my grocery store, and store it in my fridge, in the same compartment, by Thursday, it's limp like a noodle (assuming i buy it on sunday). If I buy celery from Fresh Direct, by the following weekend, it's only slightly limp. I'm not sure the difference. Maybe I just need to give the grocery store celery some viagra. I think it really comes down to their storage practices - the grocery store lets their celery come up to room temp probably, and fresh direct probably gets fresher celery and it always stays at the proper temperature.

My shin splints are in pretty good shape today, so I'm going to do weights tonight. It shouldn't be a big deal, the only real stress on them will be doing squats/lunges, but I think I'll generally be OK. If there's pain, I'll stop. I need to go to Target to get some stuff, but I may not - it's snowing out, and that may cause me to wuss out.
