I got some inserts for my shoes yesterday to help with the shin splints - some arch things. I also got a strap that seems to be helping for another issue I've had with my left foot, which seems to be helping quite nicely. I did cardio last night and walked to work this morning, both of which were good to do after not doing for awhile.
My weight still went down 1lb last week from the week before. Which is a good thing. If i hadn't had my bad night, I may have hit 2lbs. But, that makes 8 lbs to go to my goal weight now.
I've been making tuna sandwiches for lunch. I generally do a few different types of vegetables diced and tuna and some sort of topping. So, celery + green peppers + sun dried tomatoes + tuna + 1 tbsp mayo + mustard (this is for 2 sandwiches). But, lately, i've been putting way too many vegetables in the mix, so it's about 1/3 tuna to 2/3 vegetables - making it difficult to stay on the bun.
Tonight is weights night, tomorrow night, I'm going to try to do week 2 of c25k and see how painful it is - if it's bad, I'll re-do the week, otherwise, move one. But, if I have shin splints again, I'll stop. And do. Something.

You are doing great with your weight loss! The tuna sandwich sounds good actually...maybe I should use the 12 cans I have and do that too! LOL And thanks so much for sharing the story of the lady named Lettie you knew...it made me smile...it's a really old name and you just don't come across it too often. It was my grandmothers name and she was born in 1904...so it was really special to hear. Thanks!
