View MORTINI's food & exercise for this day
i'm enjoying the facebook thing so far, kind of nice to talk to people I haven't for awhile and see what they're up to.
My calories were seriously high yesterday, the highest day that I've kept track of since using CK (When it's a bad night, I usually don't write it up, because I don't want to admit to eating the whole bag of chips the morning after). So, I was at 2999 calories yesterday, but I was *still* under the exercise burn enough to *not* get a green checkmark. Awesome! I'm a bit annoyed that it was that high, I prefer around ~2400, but I actually cooked lunch yesterday and had more meat than usual and so on.
I did p90 weights last night. I really need to increase my weight again - i wasn't sure about this time. But, that means I'm at the end of my weights. I think I'm going to buy some adjustable dumbbells that go up to 50 lbs. It costs more than I'd like to spend, but I'm not sure what else to do at this point.
When I started p90, I was using ~15 lbs of weights, and next work-out, I'll be at 30 lbs. The increase could have been more if I was doing set-to-fail style, but it's still a nice amount more. I'm also up to doing 70 crunches during the warm-up phase (I'm doing them on my own, not really a part of the program), and as a part of p90 weights phase 3/4, during the 4th section of the workout (~35 minutes into the workout), you do as many push-ups as you can. Before p90, when I was considering doing the 100 pushup program, I could barely do 15 pushups. Last night, after already doing three sets of pushups earlier in the work-out (~10 incline pushups, ~10 wide pushups, 7 wide, 7 with your arms against your side, and ~10 regular), I was able to do 35 pushups. But, that was kind of pushing it. Next weights, I'm going to do 35 again, and after that try to push it to 40.
Gosh, after writing it all out, it sure sounds like I'm trying to boast/brag, but, more it's a lot of nice improvement. I'm coming up to a year of working on loosing weight, and I'm in a *much* better place than I was a year ago. I'd like to go a bit futher before the year is up (Which I've arbitrarily put April 1, since I don't remember exactly when I started working on loosing). As I start doing p90x, I'm going to do the low carb diet thing (which is a part of the phase 1 p90x program), and hopefully drop a fair amount of weight. It's not going to be a long-term diet, but loosing a decent amount of weight would be a nice mental boost for me at this point.

Not boasting...you SHOULD be proud of what you can accomplish now! Look how far you have come in this past year! I think maybe I might be able to get back to exercising soon...but dang if I'll ever be able to do what you can!!! Good job Timmy! (And thanks for the "support" of my "meddling" LOL)

You're not boasting (nor does your blog read like you are) you're reporting your results and patting yourself on the back for doing a great job. Totally acceptable
:wink3: Eating a whole bag of chips? tsk tsk... I never do that...
:afraid2: <- That's me watching for lightning
