View MORTINI's food & exercise for this day

After doing weights last night, I was watching some television (watch is a bit of a misstatement. it's mostly there for noise), and I didn't have anything decent recorded, so I went to see what was on live TV. I couldn't find anything, but decided to stop on Star Trek : TNG. One of the characters reminded me of the guy that was the male cop on 'Math Net' on 'Square One TV.' 'Square One TV' was a math-based television show in the late 80's on public television. Thanks to the miracle of youtube, parts of the episodes are up there. I watched some last night, and found that it was really pretty well done.

In 2 weeks, I start p90x. I'm going to continue doing p90 until tue or wed of next week, then take some time off to give my body a break. I'm getting pretty excited about it. I've been reading more about it, and apparently there may not be as much weight loss in phase 1 as I was hoping for, but, we'll see what happens. Phase 1 is not only the exercise, but also a specific low-carb, high protein diet. I think for a lot of people, this phase is difficult because they're weeding a lot of bad foods out of their diet, including things that are really hard to drop, like drinking soda. I've already done most of that, so I'll just be changing my already pretty healthy diet into a low-carb healthy diet. I've been practicing a bit for it, as well, trying some different things out. Frankly, I'm mostly worried about the breakfast aspect of it, and not being able to eat carbs then. I'm going to do some sort of egg bake thing that I just need to mess around with.

I hope today's warm enough to melt some snow so I can get my 20 min run in tomorrow before work. And, if I'm lucky, it'll be a bit warmer tomorrow morning than it was this morning. It was really cold this morning. I should have worn my hoodie under my jacket, but I failed on that.

Sounds like you've really thought out your strategy for doing the p90x, which is great! It's 70 here today. No snow =D
