My kitty's sick. She's been puking a lot - a lot more than usual. This seems to happen every now and then - maybe once every 6 months. It's still kind of worrying when it does happen, because she can't exactly tell me what's going on. I think she ends up eating something that she really shouldn't, and she pukes a bunch from it. For as much plastic as she chews, it's somewhat surprising she doesn't have this happen more often.

I had a really good weight loss today - down 3lbs for the week. I generally somewhat 'fake' my weigh ins, but I do it consistently - i weigh myself in from 12-1 on Sunday so I can go to the bathroom a few times beforehand, and usually go for a walk. But, today, I didn't have to do any of that, I weighed in around 11. I think I would have been down 1-2lbs last week had I not had the big meal on Saturday, but, getting out of the house and being with friends is better than sticking with the program for me.

Next week I won't be loosing anything - I'm going up to my parents for next weekend, and am planning on eating. The Monday after, I start the p90x program, so nothing fun to eat for at least 4-6 weeks, and potentially until June. However, I think I'm going to invite my parents down for Mother's day, so I'll probably do some fun stuff then. I'm working on finding a balance between eating healthy and eating things that I like to eat. I think a planned-out binge isn't a terrible thing - but, i can't do it more than once every 6-8 weeks.

A few years ago, I took a computer class that had this crazy Indian instructor. He was a pretty interesting guy, overall, and certainly had a unique view of the world. A few days into class, people started going as a group for lunch, until Friday, when he said he couldn't go. He said he was fasting, that he'd started fasting on Friday's. People asked him how he could manage to do that - he said that he put the thing that he wanted to eat the most next to him, and would anticipate eating it after midnight.

I think this is somewhat similar - planning something out well ahead of time, and knowing exactly what I'm going to eat - a type of motivation for being good until then. See, I can *not* eat whatever, because I know in X weeks, I'm going to have something I'm going to really want to eat, and I can manage to pass until then. It's all mind games, I suppose, but so is this whole thing.

My groceries are going to be delivered soon, and I have ~10 lb's of turkey to contend with. I'm planning on baking ~3 lbs into 4oz chunks so I can have an easy/quick dinner or lunch - just heat them up and ready to go. I bought 10 lb's a few weeks ago, and it's probably 75% gone now. Part of it I just made into small chunks, I find I like this quite a bit - it quicker to cook than a whole chicken breast, and the right amount of meat, so it just works out well for me.

It is almost spring and I know my pets are shedding. My cats do the same thing during this time. Do you give kitty hairball treats? There is some in a tube and there are treats with it in the middle. It's basically a flavored vaseline type product that helps the hair go down that they ingest when they are constantly cleaning themselves. Hope that helps and hope thats all it is!
