so worried about my kitty. last night, she seemed to be doing better, wasn't eating, but I saw her drinking water (water is super-important for cats, a dehydrated cat = really sick cat), but, I figured she was out of the worst of it. Then around 4am, I woke up to her puking again, so, I got more worried. She hadn't eaten anything at all - I leveled off the dry food so I'd be able to tell if she touched it. But, more importantly, she hadn't touched the wet food I gave her. She loves that stuff.

So, I decided I should probably take her to the vet. I stayed up for awhile, changed her water, and tried to give her some tuna. Which, she wouldn't touch, either (This actually isn't that unusual for my cat. she doesn't really eat human food.). I laid down and tried to sleep a bit, but would almost sleep and then wake up for a few hours. When I got up again, I checked, and I could see that she'd pecked at her dry food. So, I rustled it a bit, and she came over and ate about 1/3 a can of the wet stuff before I took it away.

I figured after not eating for 2 days, eating too much would be bad, too. So, about an hour later, I let her eat some more, and now she's sleeping. I just hope she doesn't puke it up.

This is different than normal 'hairball' puke - she's puking dry heaves - completely clear puke. So, it's got to be something she ate.

I ended up taking today off work because I didn't want to wait until 7pm tonight when I got home to see if she's still really sick.

I've been working on re-doing my web site, and setting it up so I can add food and some other stuff to it. I'm doing it in a better format so I can use it more as a 'reminder' type thing than an actual weblog - a wiki vs a blog.

Ooh, my kitty just jumped to her high perch - which is a good sign, i hope. She hasn't been climbing/jumping at all, except to get into her hut. (a 3 walled area on the cat tree I got her that she likes to sleep in because it's dark)
