View MORTINI's food & exercise for this day

1 lousy pound! Didn't quite make my goal weight over the weekend, still 1 lb off. Not too bad - a loss of 1 lb during a week that i did next to 0 exercise and wasn't tracking or anything. Helps I ate virtually nothing for 3 days, though.

I'm re-starting p90x today, today's re-day 1. I did the kempo x workout last night, and it was pretty fun. I'm a bit sore from it, but not too bad. Tonight is chest & arms - i should be sore from that.

Mark Sisson is a fan of a type of running/training called Tabata. This is somewhat similar to Fartlek, only shorter. The gist is that you run as fast as you can for 20 seconds, and relax for 10, for a total of 4 minutes. Supposedly it's better for weight loss and general health than a regular long run. I've been thinking about adding it into before p90x 1-2 days a week, and doing the normal c25k stuff the other 2 days. not sure, though.

seem to be getting too into mark sisson's stuff, but a lot of it just seems to make sense to me. he was a long distance runner in the late 70's through mid 80's that was apparently pretty good. Now he does nutrition-based stuff and sells supplements. He has a diet that he calls 'primal diet' that he's an advocate of - the general idea is eating whole, natural foods and limiting the amount of carbohydrates in one's diet. Probably the biggest thing I like about it is that he's not dictating the diet - it's up to you to decide. He expects you to do your own research and come to your own conclusions, not do x because y.

Didn't sleep enough last night. Sleeeepy.
