View MORTINI's food & exercise for this day
Something to consider...
The food industry's potential earnings is a direct relationship to the amount of calories people (In the US, in this example) consume.
So, the more people eat, the more money the food industry makes.
Do you think the food industry cares about obesity and people being overweight? Overweight people at more, and make them more money.
Now, do you think those '100 calorie packs' are really designed for healthy people? Or do you think that perhaps they're aimed at people that want a quick snack, but...well, I might as well have 2 because it's only another 100 calories. And what empty calories they are.
A pretty good read about this is available here:

Yep you're probably right about the cholesterol, but the author was talking about weight loss it seemed - not general health conditions other than that. But it was still interesting. I am curious enough to read that book.

Interesting article - his comparison about smoking and weight loss makes sense but it's been done. It seems that the author completely disagrees with the philosophy of CK. He is asserting that the only reason Americans are so fat is because we eat so many carbs. Here's a quote from near the end "Now we would have scientists who are not in the employ of the food industry who are telling us that carbs are good, fat is bad, and the reason we are all obese is simply that we eat too many calories and dont exercise enough. As long as these people are spouting off, there will be no change." Seems to me people are having quite a bit of success here by eating the correct amount of calories and exercising so I'm going to have to disagree with him on that note. However, I am interested in reading the book "stuffed" now.

First of all, check out your before/after shots! Impressive!! And B, I'm all over P90X as soon as school lets out (my trainer is right near school, so I can go there when school's in session, but in the summer we'll travel). Now lemme ask you this - did you buy it from the actual P90X peeps or did you buy it on the cheap from someone else?

too funny, I heard them for the first time on a streaming UK station that I listen to at home when I'm online (absolute extreme, or something like that). The local rock station I listen to started playing them not too long ago, so now I get to hear them more often
