Whee.

I appear to have posterior shin splints from running. cool running has some wall stretches to help stretch that a bit to help with that. not the best thing ever, but seems to be manageable. Hopefully a good night's sleep tonight, and doing the stretches will make them not hurt so I can run tomorrow night. Or at least on Thursday evening.

Stayed up too late, couldn't fall asleep, so I started reading again, and got into the book and kept going. Not really that surprising, just kind of annoyi...

I've been wanting to make this split pea recipe:
http://blog.fatfreevegan.com/2007/12/thick-and-hearty-split-pea-soup.html

And, this afternoon, I decided to make it. And for some reason, roast a chicken to go with it. Been kind of bleh lately. Dunno what's going on. I think I've been watching too much M*A*S*H. I've been watching all of the episodes, beginning of the series to the end. I'm about 3/4 through season 7 right now. Only 5 (or 6) seasons to go!

One thing that I find interesting about watching old shows is how they do now-taboo things. Like in the Andy Griffiths show, one of the characters was the town drunk. Who was just a 'silly' character. Whereas now, alcoholism is generally treated much mo...

Pitta.

Over the past month or so we've had issues with enough servers at work that it's becoming an issue. While mostly it's just been bad luck, it also has shown that some of the areas that we should be better at - we haven't been so great at. We have a fair amount of systems that are available, and do their jobs without any problems. But, we don't touch them for a really long time, and then something happens, and we discover that backups hadn't been set up correctly, or never set up. So, we sort of g...
