Just finished week 4, day 1 of C25k. Going from week 3 to week 4 is quite the jump. Week 3 is almost a joke - you run 1.5min, walk 1.5 min, run 3 min, walk 3 min - week 4 is run 3 min, walk 1.5 min, run 5 min, walk 2.5 min, run 3 min, walk 1.5 min, run 5 min, then that's it. I was able to manage - fuel makes such a huge difference, even though I had a huge lunch yesterday for cooking class, by 4pm when I ran, I didn't have a fuel, so the week 3 day was pretty rough.
I got 4-5 lbs of turkey...

I opted to sleep last night instead of exercise. So, it was an off night. I think Thursdays are just going to end up being off nights generally. If I do exercise mon/tue/wed I end up being exhausted on Thursday. I can do exercise fri/sat/sun/mon/tue/wed pretty easy, though, as I can easily sleep more on sat/sun and I can't on the other days.
Every so often, various things on CK bug me on the forums - some things are just person-based (Like people complaining mostly just to complain, not rea...

so tired today. too many nights of not enough sleep. with exercising and everything seems that if I make it to bed by 11, i'm doing good. Which leads to 6 hours of sleep. And getting up at least 3 times to go to the bathroom.
So, I've decided to start limiting my water intake again. I drink a lot of water, and if there's water in front of me, I'll drink it. Constantly. I have a 20 oz gatorade bottle I use for water from the water bottle on my desk. I'll generally do 4-5 of these in the morn...

i wrote this in the 'do you like where you live' thread last night, and decided to post i t here, too
I grew up in Wyoming (When I was telling this during my cooking class, a woman replied 'Wow. I don't think I've ever met someone from Wyoming!'). And moved east after a few stops in the midwest, ending up in New York City of all places.
When I first moved to NYC, the building I worked in had ~50 floors. The county I grew up in in Wyoming had ~11k people (and more cattle). I suspect the...

one of these days, i'll come up with a real title.
pretty sore from my work-out last night. i was doing p90 weights doing them 'set to fail' style - wherein you do as much weight as you can so you can do eight reps - the idea is to do them slow until you can't lift anymore. While my weight is up, my body fat % is about 1/2% lower than it was even at a few pounds less, so I have gained some muscle. I know last weeks eating didn't help, but loosing it may be difficult with the muscle gain. We...
