Sunday, Jan 20 2008 - Play offs Are Here

View MOUGHI's food & exercise for this day

Whoo hoo the play offs are here and all those food commercials made to make you want all that junkie food will be playing right and left. In years past I would gobble tons of calories down as I watched my gladiators romp each other down the football field. This years battle isn't on the field, but in the mind of one, actually two dieting people in a home somewhere in Texas. It begins at 12 Central time and will end around 9 that evening when the last whistle blows, or I get too tired of watching the gridiron. Like the the little train going up the hill I will say, " I think can, think I can, think I can..."It is not unlike the current marshmallow battle so maybe I have been preparing myself for this battle all week. I'm going to eat a good lunch and have my designated snacks ready so through out the games I will have legal snacks since I am a eternal munchie at heart. We will see who wins this gridiron match. Lory.... Munchies..... To be determined
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It's evening now and the games are over and I won the battle of the munchies which was amazing since the first game was boring and the second one thrilling. Maybe there's hope for me yet. On a sad note I had another low blood sugar episode after dinner and lunch which means my ratio to carbs needs to be adjusted as well as my basal numbers. Thank goodness I will get to talk to my doctor tomorrow. I did have to eat extra food tonight not on my agenda.:cry2: The good news is that this time I did not loose control and go into a binge afterwards. I will turn down my meter now since I think I have given my rep plenty of numbers. Thanks to one of my new CK pals I'm not going to feel guilty about how this week is turning out. When I get on that scale tomorrow I'm just going to be relived that I didn't gain weight which could have happened since I had to eat extra food. Thanks Jenn for the encouragement.

Lory, it took me 6 months to lose the first 50 lbs and a year to lose 27 more. I started my weight loss journey at 270 lbs and started CK online after losing 10 lbs successfully using only the CK book. I have maintained 75 of the 77 I've lost, but have not been able to lose any weight for the past 6 months. Thanks for your comment. The struggle is never over.

YAY!!!! Congratulations on not letting yourself slip into the binge! I'm so happy for you!
*cheer*
I agree with you about not letting the days activities get you down. You may lose a battle now and again, but the war is proceeding as planned - and from the look of things you're WINNING most of your battles!
I'm so happy for you.
